One thing that has always bothered me is people who feel you should date for a certain amount of time before you get married. Who are they to judge or to put stipulations on marriage? Josh and I got this a lot when we got married. Because we only new each other 10 months from the time we met until the time we married we under went a lot of fire from people. Now my family and Josh's were 100% supportive. But there were those who thought they new better. Without even knowing us they casted judgement that we were jumping the gun. Several people informed my dad or I that we should be dating at least a few years before we even considered marriage. There reasoning was that we were more likely to end in divorce. Well, I am looking around at couples who have only been married for a year, but dated a few years before they got married and they are getting divorced. I think divorce has nothing to do with the time frame of which you dated. Here Josh and I are coming up to our 5 year wedding anniversary and two beautiful kids later. I just what to look at those people who doubt and say I hope you can stick your foot in your mouth now.
Ok now that is off my mind... an update on the kids. Aubrey is loving pre school. She is really getting so smart. She is reasoning and understanding more and more. Nick is crawling all over the place. He is pulling up to stand on the funiture. He has begun taking a few steps holding onto the couch. Both Aubrey and Nick love playing with each other. It is so cute to watch them laugh and giggle at each other. I can't believe the holidays are fast approaching. Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

Pumpkin Patch
We spent the day at the Live Oak Canyon pumpkin patch in Yucaipa today. It has become a family tradition. We started going when Aubrey was only 6 weeks old. It is always so much fun and it was even more exciting because it was Nick first time. If you remember our pictures from last year (you can go back through the archives) I had Nick in my belly and I had my baby bump in the pictures. So I loved that this was our first year as a family of four.

Potato Soup- Crock pot
I made Potato soup in the crock pot last night. Not only was it super easy, but it was the best Potato soup I have ever had. I did a few things different than what the recipe called for. Instead of frying up fresh bacon I just used bacon bits in a jar that I had in the fridge. I added a few pinches of salt and parsley.
Potato Bacon Soup
8 cups coarsely chopped peeled potatoes
1 small onion, shopped (1/3 cup)
1/2 pound bacon, crisped, drained, and crumbled
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened
3 cans (14.5 oz) each reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/4 tsp. pepper
In a 4-qt. crock, stir together the potatoes and onion. Stir in the bacon.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, and the pepper. Add the mixture to the crock.
Cover and cook the soup on low heat for 8-10 hours or on high heat for 4-5 hours. If you like, mash the potatoes slightly for a thicker consistency before serving.

Nick 7 months- Started crawling
Nick is 7 months old today! He is such a happy boy. He is hitting his milestones so quickly and at a lot younger age than Aubrey did. He is sitting unassisted. His 2 top teeth just broke through so now he has a total of 4 teeth! He is still nursing and has never had a drop of formula. He also eats a little bit of baby food. He does not do well with squash or peaches, but he loves pears, apples, banana, sweet potato, peas, and green beans. Nick is saying "mama" and I am loving it. As I was just typing this, I looked over and he started crawling with his Mickey stuffed animal in his mouth. I am in shock. He is now crawling at 7 months old. He never ceases to amaze me.
